Marc is a Managing Attorney of Ellis Porter, as well as the firm’s founder. He also is serves in a leading role on Ellis Porter’s Automotive and Healthcare practice teams. He helps direct the firm’s strategy and operations, and most importantly, he serves as the champion of Ellis Porter’s inspired culture and bold vision to simplify and enhance the immigration experience for global employers and international employees so they can thrive in a smaller world.
Over the course of his career, Marc has earned a reputation for developing creative immigration strategies and positive client experiences for US and global employers and their international employees, ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, in numerous industry sectors including Automotive, Engineering, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Research, Life Sciences, Technology and Financial Services/Fintech.
Marc is known for his unique ability to communicate complex immigration issues with refreshing clarity, which helps clients make better-informed strategic decisions.
And, while he takes his job seriously, Marc doesn't take himself too seriously - just ask our staff about his uncanny knack for coming up with clever jokes and puns (and then watch them roll their eyes).
Marc's mother and her family immigrated to the U.S. from Germany after World War II, and his father's family has Polish immigrant roots. Growing up surrounded by an extended family of immigrants, Marc gained a deep appreciation of the positive cultural and economic contributions that immigrants make to our nation.
In his spare time, Marc enjoys attending his daughters' sports competitions, traveling with his family, cooking, discovering new ethnic restaurants, promoting the health benefits of Paczki and going on bike riding adventures throughout Detroit.
